What is a Fat Quarter Challenge?
It’s your chance to be creative and have fun with Fat Quarters as the basis for your personally designed project!
What is a Fat Quarter?
Definition: A fat quarter is one-fourth yard cut of fabric that measures 18" x 22" instead of the typical 9" x 44" quarter-yard cut.

Ideas for your project:
Computer printer cover, pot holder, hot pads, toaster cover, grocery sack holder, pillow, pillow case, dog neckerchief, bandana, place mat, napkin, blouse, quilt, topper, runner, bread basket warmer, wall hanging, clothes pin bag, purse, diaper bag, purse with a secret, necktie, doll clothes, baby quilt, jockey shorts, bikini, fabric bowl, pin cushion, curtains, apron, burp rag, scarf, scrubs, ‘do-rag, tea cozy.....the list is endless!
Rules (the fine print):
1. Come in to Country Cousins and choose a cloud-themed fat quarter. This is our gift to you. The gift fat quarter must be used in your project. While you’re in the store, please pick up an entry form.
2. Purchase one or more fat quarters at Country Cousins to complete your project. Use as many FQ’s as you need! You could also use fat quarters previously purchased at Country Cousins from your fabric stash. Remember, you can enter more than one project!
3. Bring your completed project in to the store once you’re done with it, but before the due date of Saturday, 4/25/09.
4. People’s Choice Judging will begin on 5/1/09 and conclude on 5/16/09.
5. Ribbons and winners will be revealed on Friday, May 22, 2009.
6. Entries can be picked up after May 31st.
